Community Involvement

Community involvement is part of the Baird culture—we are encouraged to maintain a balance between home, community, and work. Baird associates are encouraged to organize and participate in fund-raising events for many causes, including education, health and human services, and the arts.

Since Baird opened its doors in 1919, we have acted on our commitment to give back to the communities we serve.

Each Baird employee is given the opportunity to take up to one paid day each year to volunteer in the community. The program is designed to encourage employees to provide volunteer service to a nonprofit organization of their choice.

Additionally, Baird employees take part in the annual “Baird Gives Back Week.” During this week, Baird provides its employees with paid hours to volunteer at Baird’s selected nonprofit organization.

This year:

  • In 2023, associates donated nearly 8,000 volunteer hours to help support non-profit organizations and individuals across the firm's global footprint.
  • From May 15-20, more than 2,300 volunteers from over 100 Baird offices in cities such as Milwaukee, Louisville, Frankfurt, Chicago, Sarasota, London, Pittsburgh and many more participated in Baird Gives Back week.
  • Associates helped with community-bettering projects, such as preparing and serving food, tutoring and mentoring students, walking and playing with shelter animals, working with seniors and cleaning up parks, riverbeds, gardens, and more.

"Our associates demonstrate a remarkable drive for helping others, and I am incredibly proud of their dedication to supporting charitable organizations and furthering the causes they believe in," says Steve Booth, Baird Chairman and CEO.
